Meet the Founder
Gertrude is the founder of Afa Healthcare Compliance Services LLC and brings more than 22 years of experience in healthcare services and leadership.
Her journey in healthcare began as a Direct Support Professional, where she gained firsthand experience caring for individuals in healthcare settings. Over time, she advanced into leadership and compliance-focused roles that exposed her to the regulatory and operational challenges faced by healthcare providers.
Gertrude holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health, a Business Degree in Marketing (Consumer Choice Option (CCO) and is a Certified Independent Support Broker
Her combined background in healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and leadership allows her to guide providers through the complexities of healthcare regulations with practical and actionable strategies.
Through Afa Healthcare Compliance, Gertrude is committed to helping healthcare entrepreneurs successfully launch and manage their organizations while maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance.
Beyond the Office
Outside of her professional work, Gertrude enjoys spending time with her family, cooking new recipes, and gardening—especially growing herbs and vegetables in her kitchen garden.
She is also active in her church community, writing articles and supporting faith formation initiatives. Her passion for community involvement and mentorship reflects her broader commitment to supporting and uplifting others.
